I am trying to get my act together to write you all a new ebook. This time on SEO or Search Engine Optimisation. That does
not necessarily mean Google, but of course they are the biggest player in that field.
Now I am not saying that I am the oracle of SEO and if you just do x,y and z you will be the highest ranking website in your field. What I am saying though is that you should keep SEO in mind when you are working on your website. Some simple strategies will increase your viability greatly.
Let's start at the very beginning, the two components of good SEO:
Forge Value + Build Trust
Whatever you have heard about short-cuts, ways to manipulate the system, forget it. All the changes Google has made -and
let's face it, they set the standard- in recent years have been aimed to filter out the noise, and offer their user more valuable content.
SEO can be tedious, especially in the beginning when you really need to put in a lot of effort to begin seeing small results. Simply adding a load of tags in the back-end of your website does not work anymore. In fact, trying to cheat may land you in the penalty box.
Over the next few weeks I will share with you what I have learned about SEO, and -like I said- I am preparing another ebook with a ton of very practical information for you to take away and begin implementing in your own website.
